Welcome to the month that has the potential to bring hurry, exhaustion, joy and peace! It is the month when each of us is face-to-face with our margins. You may be stepping into this month on a high note, or you may be trudging into this month with heavy burdens. In either case, if you and I are going to “Thrive Together”, we must embrace this topic and how it relates to our Identity, Purpose and Direction.
To begin, margin is best defined as the space between our load and our limits. So, when there is a lack of margin or space between these two variables, we quickly become exhausted, overwhelmed and drained. Our ability to embrace who we are, what God is calling us to do, and boldly take steps forward is limited by this reality. I am excited to encourage and equip this community by answering the following questions throughout this month:
- How does margin relate to Identity?
- How does margin relate to Purpose?
- How does margin relate to Direction?
My hope is that this month, you will learn from living examples who are embracing margin by:
- Recognizing core values. By identifying what truly matters to you, you are saying yes to margin.
- Pursuing lasting purposes. By chasing the purposes that last, you are saying yes to margin.
- Embracing boundaries. By being aware of what you really have to offer, you are saying yes to margin.
Thriving Together,
~Erin
